Backend Developer Required
An unmissable opportunity for a Backend Developer in a cutting edge GreenTech company. The company are bringing revolutionary tech to help building operators all over New York. They are at the forefront of technology using Machine leaning and Artificial Intelligence to reduce energy wastage in 30M+ square footage in New York.
In this role you will be working on a team that oversees all software integrations with buildings, sensors, and 3rd party clouds, providing the foundation on top of which all products are built. They expect you to have experience in Node.js, proficient with JavaScript and familiar with Amazon Web Services.
Responsibilities:
- Write code as a key contributor to an array of backend systems
- Assist in the building of internal tools to support PD’s growth and operation at scale
- Take lead on new features and initiatives as needed
- Work with Product/Customer Success to understand requirements, formulate use cases, and translate findings into effective technical solutions
- Research and design potential integrations
Requirements:
- Four (4) year bachelor’s degree in computer programming/science or a related engineering/scientific discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ year’s production-level development experience
- Experience with Node.js, proficient in JavaScript and a familiarity with cloud technologies – AWS/Azure
- Strong analytical thinker, maintains composure under pressure, excels independently and in a team environment
