Position Summary

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting with the activities of the overall general accounting function. This position ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Performing basic Accounting procedures.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and month end and quarterly closing.
• Assist with maintenance of financial transitions.
• Communicating with customers to address any past due invoices on their account and providing weekly status updates to management.
• Work within a team environment as well as independent.
• Multitask efficiently.
• High attention to detail, ability to take directions, self-check and follow up on assignments.
• Comprehend financial data and enter accurate financial /numerical data.
• Analytical and critical problem-solving skills.
• Time management skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Must apply discretion, trust with confidential company information.
• Regular on-site attendance.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Associate degree in Accounting
• 2 years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Basic knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel and accounting software, Sage is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
