Description:
PBK is seeking a Payroll Coordinator who will serve as the main liaison between the company and its payroll processing partner, OneSource Virtual. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and smooth communication between departments, while also addressing employee payroll inquiries.

The position requires a strong understanding of payroll processes, reporting, and compliance, along with experience using advanced payroll systems such as Workday and Deltek. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage payroll across multiple regions, including California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact with payroll provider OneSource Virtual to address and resolve issues.
  • Manage the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll transactions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll compliance reports and ensure all filings are completed.
  • Generate bi-weekly compensation reports for the Finance Department.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage 401(k) funding after each payroll cycle.
  • Handle wage audits, employment verifications, and garnishment requests.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure smooth integration of payroll changes.
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and monthly reconciliation reports.
  • Conduct account reconciliations during month-end close processes.
  • Provide documentation during audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Perform additional payroll-related tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 5 years of payroll experience, with proven expertise in managing payroll for California employees.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, HR functions, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (Workday and Deltek preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive payroll information with strict confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate across teams and distribute company-wide information.
  • Experience preparing payroll-related journal entries and reconciliation processes.
