Description:
PepsiCo is seeking a dedicated Merchandiser to manage product presentation and inventory in large-volume retail stores such as grocery chains. This role involves maintaining shelves, coolers, and displays, rotating products, organizing storage areas, and ensuring stock is properly moved from backroom to sales floor. The position requires interaction with store personnel and maintaining a professional presence at each location.

This role is physically active, involving lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing 20–45 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and squatting. Merchandisers follow a consistent schedule, with potential opportunities for varied work hours.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Stock store shelves, coolers, and promotional displays with assigned products.
• Rotate products both on shelves and in storage areas to maintain freshness.
• Transport products from backroom to shelves using equipment like hand trucks, pallet jacks, or U-Boats.
• Display promotional signage and banners in assigned accounts.
• Maintain a neat and organized backroom stock area.
• Communicate any store issues to store managers and PepsiCo management.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel.
• Follow company procedures such as scan-in/scan-out and designated routes.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to customer needs.
• Operate independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Use handheld devices to input and track orders.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass physical capabilities assessment (if applicable).
• Access to personal transportation to reach multiple store locations.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and proof of insurance.

Helpful Experience:

• Previous work in retail or grocery environments, including stockroom and shelf operations.
• Experience safely moving products using equipment such as hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Merchandising experience, including product display, shelf stocking, and inventory rotation.
• Backroom or stockroom inventory management skills.
• Customer service experience, including handling inquiries or complaints.
