As an Accountant within the Earthmoving Product & Strategy Business Resources team, you will independently perform accounting functions of moderate to high complexity, preparing, analyzing, and communicating findings that support business processes. This position works closely with Earthmoving Division leadership, product groups, and the enterprise Operating & Execution (O&E) team to provide actionable financial insights.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze, review, and report using Accountable Reporting Tool (ART), OPACC Analysis Tool (OAT), and Share of Market OPACC (SMO).
- Present and explain financial results to business resources management.
- Partner with business teams to provide strategic insights and solutions with a customer-oriented approach.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive insights into Earthmoving costs.
- Work with the Data Analytics team to integrate SMO into the Earthmoving Mission Control (EMC) toolkit.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

- Strong accuracy and attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks.
- Analytical thinking to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills to transmit and interpret information accurately.
- Accounting knowledge including methods, processes, and tools to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Financial analysis skills to read, interpret, and draw conclusions from numerical data.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to resolve issues independently.
- Skill in understanding and managing customer requirements and expectations.
- Initiative, leadership, good judgment, accountability, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar’s products, suppliers, and customers.
- Proven record of accomplishments in previous roles.
