Description:
Confluent Health is seeking a Cash Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for overseeing payment intake and reconciliation processes. The position requires posting and managing a high volume of payments—both manually and electronically—while ensuring account adjustments and records are consistently accurate. This is a remote position, requiring availability to work during Pacific Time zone hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record all transactions in compliance with internal accounting standards
  • Post payments, denials, and adjustments from both patients and payers
  • Consistently meet crucial deadlines, especially at end-of-month closings
  • Identify underpayments or discrepancies and report them to the Cash Applications Supervisor
  • Meet or surpass productivity benchmarks regularly
  • Balance and reconcile daily ERA batches and reports
  • Retrieve and process EOBs/ERA files using payer portals
  • Participate in continuing education to enhance job-related skills and expertise

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in cash applications
  • Solid computer proficiency, especially with Windows-based systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with adherence to deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a positive and professional attitude
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team environment
