The company is seeking a versatile Video Editor with graphic design skills to craft clips, graphics, and other content for a daily tech news show. This role can be performed remotely or in-office, with working hours from 1–9 PM ET to align with the show schedule and post-production demands. You will lead the editing of the show into engaging social clips, help define the show’s visual identity, create graphics, and collaborate closely with the Design Director and marketing team to maximize the show’s impact on social media.

What You’ll Do:

  • Edit full-length shows into concise, engaging content optimized for social media and YouTube.
  • Work with the Design Director to develop new motion graphic elements for the show.
  • Break down shows into individual interview segments.
  • Design image thumbnails using templates that capture audience attention.
  • Create promotional elements such as guest promos when requested.
  • Produce weekly social media “wrap” videos highlighting the week’s content.
  • Occasionally design segment intros, bumpers, and other motion graphics.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in video and audio editing, with a focus on social-first content.
  • Proficient in software like After Effects, Premiere, Capcut, Inshot, Final Cut, Figma, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of the tech industry and business news cycle.
  • Knowledge of effective content styles on YouTube, Instagram, X, and TikTok.
  • Awareness of editorial copyright rules for video content is a plus.
  • Ability to work calmly under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, creativity, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
