As a Transportation Officer, you will be responsible for the secure, armed transportation of individuals between designated facilities. This role also includes courtroom guarding, security escorts, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal protocols while operating transport vehicles. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting pat-downs, verifying legal documentation, completing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining professional interactions with detainees, staff, and officials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of transport vehicles before and after trips, noting any damages or required maintenance
• Ensure individuals are safely secured and legally transported to their destinations
• Complete all paperwork thoroughly and accurately during pick-up and drop-off procedures
• Operate transport vehicles safely and legally, complying with all federal, state, and organizational requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet all applicable licensing requirements
• California BSIS Armed Guard License with 9mm or .40 caliber endorsement
• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in law enforcement, military police, or correctional security roles
• Must pass background check and drug screening in compliance with local laws
• Ability to remain alert, exercise sound judgment, and document incident reports clearly
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage conflict professionally

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement
• Multilingual abilities (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Active federal security clearance

Sign-On Bonus Details:

• Full Bonus ($3,500) for applicants with all necessary credentials and an active transferable clearance. Paid in two installments: 50% upon hire and 50% after 90 days.
• Partial Bonus ($1,500) for applicants who are partially credentialed (e.g., missing a clearance or license). Paid in two installments: 50% upon hire and 50% after 90 days.
