Description:

Targa Resources is actively seeking a Transportation Administrator to support its logistics and accounting teams at its Houston, TX location. This critical position plays an essential role in ensuring that transportation-related financial operations run smoothly—from invoice management to database updates and monthly closings. The role demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the processing of transportation payables by reviewing and entering invoices into the Chorus system
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transport invoices, coordinating with field teams, internal departments, and third-party vendors as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments through the Oracle Financial System by collaborating closely with the Downstream Accounting Team
  • Coordinate with Targa’s accounting team to identify and troubleshoot any billing or payment-related issues
  • Maintain and update customer records within Chorus—including new customer setup, route configurations, mileage data, and driver profiles
  • Collaborate with the dispatch team to ensure all transportation-related data (Targa drivers and carriers) is input accurately and in a timely manner, especially during the monthly accounting close
  • Strictly adhere to Targa’s accounting calendar for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, which includes mandatory attendance on designated close days
  • Enter marketing and dispatch orders into the appropriate systems
  • Take on additional administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating new spreadsheets and using pivot tables
  • Familiarity with all other Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Economics
  • Prior experience with Chorus, Oracle Financial System, or RightAngle platforms
