We are currently hiring a Stage Manager to join our Radio City Music Hall team. This vital position serves as the principal link between various production departments, ensuring seamless coordination and precise execution of all live event elements. From scenic transitions and lighting to talent movements and stage automation, the Stage Manager ensures that each show runs smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with venue event teams, visiting production stage managers, and performers to deliver flawless event execution
  • Conduct safety checks in and around the stage area, including setting physical safety barriers and delivering verbal safety announcements
  • Verbally cue and execute all live show elements including lighting, scenic changes, and fly moves
  • Act as the central communicator between production and technical crews during performances
  • Lead and coordinate contingency plans for real-time show adjustments such as technical issues or performer changes
  • Collaborate with additional Stage Managers when multiple are assigned to an event
  • Operate stage elevators for equipment movement during load-ins and for performance integration, including rehearsals
  • Maintain close contact with Radio City Production and Christmas Spectacular Management throughout each event
  • Follow specific performance cue tracks, and execute any assigned pre-show preparations
  • Be available from the start of crew call to event wrap-up
  • Keep accurate logs of stage activities, show timelines, work hours, and breaks

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stage management, ideally within a theatrical or live event environment
  • Proven experience managing concerts, live TV, corporate functions, and theatrical productions
  • Comfortable working directly with talent, performers, and within a collaborative stage management team
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to remain professional, approachable, and solution-oriented under pressure
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be or become a member of the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA)
  • Employment for specific events follows the AGVA and Radio City contractual agreement; non-contractual hires are determined solely by Radio City Production

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay: $65.53 USD
