RXO, Inc., a leading name in transportation solutions, is looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our Last Mile team in East Syracuse, NY. At RXO, we’re innovating logistics with advanced technology and a nationwide network, helping shippers and carriers move goods more efficiently across North America. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance and quality across our Last Mile operations.

As a Compliance Specialist, you’ll be responsible for processing background checks, Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs), and drug screenings for contract carriers and their employee applicants. You’ll analyze the results against set compliance criteria to help ensure only qualified professionals join our carrier network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review background and drug test consent forms and supporting materials for accuracy and completeness, in accordance with FCRA and vendor guidelines
  • Coordinate with Operations Managers to collect missing or incomplete documentation
  • Accurately submit background and MVR orders through vendor platforms
  • Perform annual renewals of background checks and MVRs for all Last Mile contract carriers and their driver/helper staff
  • Evaluate the outcome of screenings and checks using both RXO’s internal standards and insurance vendor criteria
  • Communicate screening results to Operations Managers using Contractlogix or similar platforms

Requirements to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in contract management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard Windows applications
  • Comfortable entering and retrieving data accurately from computer systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration
  • 2+ years of experience in contract management, or equivalent education/experience
  • 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation industry
  • Flexibility to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends when needed
