Description:
Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP, a CPA firm specializing in labor unions and associated benefit fund audits, is seeking experienced Senior Payroll Compliance Auditors. This role ensures that employers contribute accurately to benefit funds in accordance with applicable agreements. We welcome applications from payroll professionals, bookkeepers, data analysts, and experienced payroll auditors. While overnight travel is a plus, it is not mandatory. Multiple positions are available across our office locations, and the firm offers a supportive atmosphere with excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review payroll records and related documentation to verify accuracy and completeness, comparing data to pension and health fund contributions
• Analyze general ledgers and cash disbursement records to ensure compliance
• Communicate with employers to confirm that all eligible participants receive entitled benefits
• Prepare and present schedules, reports, and findings to all stakeholders
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions where needed

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel and database management
• Basic understanding of payroll and tax records is a plus but not required
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
