Compensation Package

Primary Job Duties
- Operate and power down all X-Ray equipment according to protocols
- Accurately verify patient identity and confirm prescribed examination orders
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform x-ray imaging while adhering to established patient care and safety guidelines
- Collect comprehensive patient medical history and document observations during radiologic examinations
- Utilize appropriate radiation protection equipment and shielding materials
- Monitor radiology equipment functionality and communicate equipment malfunctions to the Lead Radiologic Technologist
- Document Radiologic Procedures within the EMR system with proper notation for procedure billing purposes
- Secure pre-authorization from insurance providers for CT scan procedures
- Verify X-Ray examination completion in PACS system and confirm report availability in patient medical records
- Address and clarify discrepant radiology interpretations with medical providers
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies at the facility alongside team members
- Engage in quality control and assurance initiatives
- Execute basic medical assistant and occupational health technician responsibilities to facilitate smooth patient flow, including welcoming and registering patients and appropriately managing incoming telephone inquiries
Essential Experience Requirements
- Expertise in industry-standard x-ray procedures and protocols
- Comprehensive understanding of anatomical and physiological principles required for x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient positioning
- Proficiency with radiology equipment, including awareness of safety hazards associated with radiologic procedures
- Thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology essential for conducting x-ray examinations, including body mechanics and patient movement techniques
- Ability to recognize equipment malfunctions and implement troubleshooting solutions
- Competence in following written protocols and implementing standardized operational practices
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Fundamental computer proficiency, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system navigation
Essential Education and Licensure Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent credential required
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology educational program, or current enrollment with anticipated graduation within the next 4-6 months (employment offer contingent upon successful program completion and acquisition of required certifications and licenses)
- Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification and Registration in good standing
- Valid state licensure as mandated by state regulations
- Current and valid Driver’s License
