Description:
Tower Extrusions is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Clerk (Entry Level) to join our team in Wylie, Texas. As a QC Technician, you’ll begin with structured training on the aluminum extrusion process and subsequent processes that impact overall product quality. Once training is completed, you will be responsible for overseeing safety and production within the tensile testing department, along with accurate data input related to testing procedures. You’ll also assist in inspecting extrusions, verifying measurements, and ensuring each product meets specific order and drawing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tensile testing on extruded materials and document results
- Measure and inspect extrusions for dimensional accuracy and compliance
- Use various inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges, gloss meters, hardness testers, and thickness testers for paint and plating
- Maintain a high level of quality standards while ensuring timely production
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure manufacturing practices meet company expectations

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with hand tools and measuring equipment
- Background in manufacturing environments
- Basic understanding of quality control practices and print reading
- Computer literacy and math skills
- Knowledge of Epicor (EPICS) software is a plus
- Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are highly valued
