Description:
LG Ad Solutions, a global leader in connected TV (CTV) and cross-screen advertising, is seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant to join its Finance Department. This role works closely with the Sr. Accounting Manager and requires initiative and technical competence to manage month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and analyses. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and collaborates effectively across teams.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Engineering, Product, and FP&A teams to identify, evaluate, and validate capitalizable internal-use software costs in line with ASC 350, including project phases, capitalization start/stop points, and cost eligibility.
• Maintain comprehensive internal-use software capitalization schedules with detailed project-level tracking, cost allocations, capitalization timing, in-service dates, and useful lives.
• Prepare and record monthly software amortization entries, monitor for impairment indicators, and perform impairment analyses when necessary.
• Ensure complete and audit-ready documentation for capitalized software costs, including project approvals, cost substantiation, and capitalization memos; serve as a key contact for audit inquiries.
• Perform monthly accounting close activities, including GL account flux analyses, account reconciliations, and journal entries for commissions, internal software capitalization, fixed assets, and other period-end adjustments.
• Assist Sr. Accounting Manager in reviewing team members’ accruals and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support preparation and documentation of technical accounting memos in compliance with US GAAP.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during annual financial audits by preparing supporting schedules and explanations.
• Participate in ad hoc analyses and projects, including process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Help maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting processes and reporting.
• Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, coordinating with R&D, tax, finance, and accounting teams to gather required data.
• Support special projects and other accounting duties as needed.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements as applicable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Ability to handle large amounts of data in a complex entity structure
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, FASB codification, and pronouncements
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles, ASC 606/IFRS 15, and related guidance
• Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience in fast-paced, startup-like environments
• ERP system experience, NetSuite preferred
• Highly motivated, organized, proactive, and team-oriented with strong work ethic
• High attention to detail and accuracy while keeping the bigger picture in mind
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and work with minimal guidance
• Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis
