About the Role

8am is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the CFO and finance team with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience with FP&A, financial initiatives, and strategic projects, offering opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Department with creating financial forecasts and budgets
• Participate in annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial and operating reports, including operating statements, forecasts, and budget data
• Support preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial plans
• Develop reports tracking YTD, QTD, and MTD performance for the CFO
• Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures to inform business decisions
• Contribute to quarterly reports for 8am’s member benefit programs and partner integrations
• Support ongoing improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and operating plans
• Provide financial analysis and reporting for projects and corporate performance meetings
• Enhance productivity through automation of reports and applications
• Build financial models, conduct benchmarking, and perform process analyses

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or expected graduation by May 2026)
• High attention to detail and accuracy in a dynamic, multitasking environment
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial planning
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Highly analytical with strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
• Experience with databases and business intelligence tools such as Tableau

Compensation

The starting range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime.
