Description:

Stride, Inc. is seeking a certified Elementary School Teacher to join the Lone Star Online Academy (LSOA) team. This fully remote position is ideal for passionate educators who are committed to making a difference through personalized and engaging online instruction. While the role is virtual, preference is given to applicants based in Texas, though candidates in nearby states such as Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma may be considered.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver both synchronous and asynchronous lessons designed to inspire, challenge, and support student learning
• Tailor instruction to accommodate varying levels of student mastery
• Demonstrate consistent belief in student success and maintain high academic expectations
• Use tools and platforms to modify course content in alignment with school policies
• Maintain accurate gradebooks and monitor student performance and academic honesty
• Help students prepare for state-standardized assessments
• Build strong relationships with families and regularly communicate with students and learning coaches
• Provide troubleshooting assistance for virtual learning platforms
• Attend school-related events including professional development and student assessments, with travel required approximately once a month or 20% of the time

Who You Are:

• A motivated, certified educator with a valid Texas Elementary Teaching Certificate
• Highly organized and able to work independently in a home office free of distractions
• Committed to working full-time, generally 40+ hours per week, following typical school-day hours (9 AM–5 PM or 8 AM–4 PM)
• Passionate about education, especially within virtual learning environments

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Active state teaching license (Texas Elementary required)
• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience teaching elementary students
• Familiarity with online learning tools and digital teaching platforms
• Ability to collaborate with other educators to use data to guide instruction
• Comfortable receiving coaching and adapting to new methodologies
• Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Willing to learn new technology and remain current with professional development requirements
