Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with products and services
  • Operate smartphone-based U-Scan technology for rentals and returns
  • Dispatch, return, move, and connect U-Haul trucks and trailers
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, including checking fluid levels
  • Answer customer questions and explain available products and services
  • Prepare rental contracts and process returned equipment
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring
  • Fill propane tanks (training and certification provided)
  • Operate a forklift (certification provided upon employment)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University

Customer Service Representative Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to maintain a good driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:
This role may involve moderate safety risks, including working around moving machinery, equipment, and chemicals. Protective gear such as gloves, goggles, or masks may be required at times.

Physical Demands:
The position requires physical activity, including standing for extended periods, moving indoors and outdoors, reaching different heights, and handling equipment weighing at least 50 lbs with or without assistance.
