Job Description

The Auxiliary Services Coordinator under general supervision provides technical support and coordination of a variety of business activities requiring independent judgment, specifically the daily management of electronic locks, software and firmware, equipment inventory, coordination and support of projects that include adding door access points at existing locations or new construction. Assistance with other special projects as required by existing and new programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for issues with electronic locks; approximately 1375 doors
  • Manage and schedule firmware updates on locks; no less than two updates per year
  • Liaison for all construction projects that include new door access locations, includes site visits, scope and organization of project requirements
  • Coordinates quotes and procurement of equipment needed for projects
  • Coordinates with third party partners on projects; door installations
  • Coordinates deployment and retrieval of all equipment; includes registers, sidecars, PR5000’s for departments and events, project equipment
  • Coordinates and provides support for vending; exchanges of equipment, beverage snack, and other equipment such as ATMs and printers
  • Assists with coordination of correspondence that arrives in Lion Card inbox
  • Conducts and acts as alternate APO for the department related to property inventory
  • Travel and supports off campus sites with auxiliary related projects and services
  • Assists in the operation and maintenance of auxiliary services aligned with the Lion Card System
  • Back up to auxiliary manager for automated door schedules and emergency planning

Participates in the hiring and training of business staff and/or student workers and may provide supervision. Trains staff on new and existing business procedures, and provides policies and regulations to staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Two years related experience must be proficient in computer and database applications.
  • This position requires excellent organization skills, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to: Strong ability to identify and problem solve technical issues.
  • Licensing/Professional certifications: None
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. Ability to carry ladder, climb ladder and exercise safety standards.
  • Other Requirements: May be required to work outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge of electronic door hardware and locks as well as ability to utilize computer technology and manipulation of data and functionality between systems is preferred.
