Description:
TEKsystems is seeking an Operations Specialist to support an Asset Management Team within a large state-level IT department. This role involves tracking, updating, and managing IT desktop and network assets, ensuring accurate metadata, and overseeing asset movement throughout the organization. The specialist will handle asset onboarding, reassignment via ServiceNow tickets, and coordination of outdated hardware disposal. Additionally, the role includes applying asset tags, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, generating reports for biennium reconciliation, and providing mobile AV support. The position requires strong analytical skills, excellent customer service, clear communication, and effective teamwork in a fully onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage IT desktop and network assets, ensuring metadata is accurate
- Add newly acquired equipment to the system and reassign assets using ServiceNow
- Coordinate disposal of outdated hardware and apply asset tags as needed
- Maintain organized work area and proper documentation
- Generate reports to support biennium reconciliation and audits
- Provide mobile AV support and assist with unboxing and moving equipment as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth asset management processes
