The Medical Documents Admin supports the operations team by entering PHI and account information into the internal system, Insight, verifying documentation, and processing EHR updates. This role follows department workflows, maintains validation standards, and escalates specific requests to supervisors as needed. Adherence to policies and procedures ensures performance standards are met, contributing to efficient and profitable case delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collect and sort data from various sources, distributing it to appropriate destinations within the organization and Insight.
- Process all EHR updates accurately and in a timely manner.
- Enter new patient information and referrals into Insight promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of all collected data and ensure proper storage and documentation.
- Verify data accuracy, follow validation guidelines, and obtain missing information when necessary.
- Train and support new team members.
- Provide internal and external documentation support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Strong critical thinking, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Healthcare experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with speed and accuracy, paying close attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and resolving discrepancies quickly.
Technical Requirements:
- High-speed internet over 10 Mbps; call center employees must be able to plug directly into the home router.
- Technical requirements may change with office re-openings.
Additional Hiring Requirements:
- Government-issued photo ID for identity verification during interviews.
- Comprehensive background check, in-person I-9 verification, and possible drug screening.
