Description:
Google is looking for a skilled Revenue Accountant to join their Cloud Strategic Deals Accounting team. This role involves handling core accounting responsibilities and contributing to the financial reporting process across Cloud offerings and initiatives. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on business growth, remaining performance obligation disclosures, and improving the efficiency of accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and support the accounting and operational flow of transactions from Order to Cash, including revenue reporting and ASC 606 disclosures.
  • Execute key accounting processes, perform data analysis, make calculations, book entries, and conduct account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to create processes addressing financial reporting needs, and lead continuous process improvement and automation in revenue accounting.
  • Ensure data consistency across systems and manage related Information Provided by the Entity (IPTE) testing.
  • Gather support for audit requests, enhance processes and systems, and maintain efficient financial close processes and SOX controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, and meeting facilitation
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional and international teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

As a member of Google’s finance team, you will handle end-to-end accounting processes, advise on regulatory financial reports, and analyze budgetary data. You will contribute to strategic decisions, develop forward-looking analysis, generate management reports, and scale automated financial processes.
